Linda Borgeson along with Hampton, Sierra, Jayden and Sophia arrived Saturday, July 17, to spend some time with their Iowa families. They got acquainted with the cats and baby kittens right away, and the world of a farm opened up quickly! It wasn’t long before Kale and the two dogs were seen coming down the road and the kids ran down to meet them. Kale was glad to share his knowledge of the farm, Legos and the computer! It will take a few days to convince the pup that not all of the kids appreciate his excitement!
Sunday included a trip to Johnston for a visit with Jean’s sister and brother-in-law, Dean and Elayne Bice, and their children, Chris and Beth Bice and Dena Losen. The kids were excited to have another house to explore and found some old games to play and someone to play with them!
Dean even gave me a souvenir knife celebrating 50 years of baseball in 1961 that belonged to his late brother, Larry Bice of Perry. I was thrilled of course, and found the information about the celebration. It will be in the display at the celebration on the 31st.
Linda flew back home on Monday. Then she and Blake will arrive on Saturday to spend another week with the family. Who knows what Grandma and the kids will be up to this week! I’m sure they will have fun with their older cousins, Kale and Seth!
